Long-time SRO tenant and community activist Jeoflin Roh died early Saturday morning at age 57. Jeoflin's vision for the Tenderloin and 6th Street community made him a pleasure to work with, and I considered him a good friend. It was Jeoflin's energy as a volunteer in Supervisor Chris Daly's office that helped craft the City's Uniform SRO Visitor Policy, and helped found the Central City SRO Collaborative in 2001. And it was Jeoflin's tenacious advocacy when he lived at the Warfield Hotel that resulted in one of the City's most successful
code enforcement campaigns. Jeoflin later moved to 6th Street, where he was
actively involved in Community Courts. Last weekend's annual Positively Sixth Street Fair was thrown in his honor. Stay tuned for an upcoming memorial service at
