To the Editor:

Thank you, Randy Shaw, for recognizing the truth. I'm a black woman in my late 50's. I was a loyal listener of the Kevin Brown show on the way to work. I am no longer because of the under-handed way things seem to have gone down. I don't understand but I surely hope enough people boycott the show for the higher-ups to notice that they made a big mistake in their choice to make more money or to reach out to another type of audience. Even if Kevin Brown doesn't come back to KBLX, they should employ a local talent that knows the city and the people and can participate in functions around the Bay Area. Thanks again.

To the Editor:

I have had a sense since Kevin Brown's firing that we are losing not just an excellent, intelligent, community-minded on-air talent, but also part of "our voice." Thank you for your thoughtful article.

To the Editor:

Thanks for this useful update on the building that was my home for about a quarter of a century. I think there's a typo, though, in the 4th paragraph from the bottom. "Victim" 41 would have foreclosed on unit 3, the former home of yours truly, Victim 34, not unit 2 as written. (Two foreclosures on the same unit would not have resulted in 2 units out of 6 in foreclosure.)

It's a source of considerable satisfaction to me that at least Coyle has evidently made no money from screwing me over. Note that this result is because half the original, real victims (the tenants -- most of the other "victims" were Coyle's co-conspirators, done out of their share of the spoils) decided to fight eviction to the bitter end. Had they not, Coyle might have effected a quick turnover, and put more money in his warchest with which to pursue his life's work, i.e., fleecing yet more victims (real and scare-quoted).
