This morning, I arrive in Las Vegas for the fifth annual Netroots Nation – where liberal bloggers meet to discuss political strategy, hear from politicians and grill Democratic officials. Since the netroots had their first Convention in Las Vegas back in 2006 (the only one I have not attended), Democrats have taken Congress and the White House – but now there’s concern about an “enthusiasm gap” in 2010. There will be lots of talk about how to hold the Democratic Party accountable (with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid both attending), and Senator Al Franken will be the keynote speaker. The actual Conference starts tomorrow – but LGBT bloggers are meeting a day ahead to attend a pre-Convention. And there will be lots to talk about how our agenda has been stalled – Lt. Dan Choi and Robin McGehee were arrested yesterday in Las Vegas, protesting Senator Reid over ENDA.
