To the Editor:

Thanks for your thoughtful article about Barack Obama & the Scott Walker recall. I've been watching the President's last term unfold from the perspective of leadership. One of my extreme disappointments has been his extreme lack of it. The Wisconsin recall is but one example. He seems most committed to self‑protection. Consequently, he's unable to consider the needs of others ... a very sad commentary on the perceived leader of the free world.

To the Editor:

You folks are whistling in the wind on this, as well as many other issues. We live in what used to be an all Black enclave. The only supporters of same sex marriage around here a few white liberals. Blacks, Asians, Latinos and white conservatives are solidly against same sex marriage. As a Libertarian, I feel the state shouldn't be involved either way. Blacks will vote 99.99% for Obama, but NOT because of his change of stand on same sex marriage. He did that solely to get the big Hollywood bucks, and it paid off. It looks like Scott Walker will win big next week. Wisconsin was originally known as the socialist state, the German state, the progressive state, but they also elected Joe McCarthy twice.
