In another sign that Giants GM Brian Sabean has lost his bearings, the team has added 30-year old Damian Moss to its crack pitching staff. Moss, who was traded by the Giants in 2003, is coming off a stellar 0-5, 7.67 ERA year with the Long Island Ducks of the Independent Atlantic League. Not to worry, Giants fans, because according to the San Francisco Chronicle, “the Giants scouted him in Puerto Rica this offseason, liked his velocity and thought he was worth a look.” Could the team not have signed a Duck with a winning record?
