It’s Monday morning. If you’re like a lot of people out there, you probably woke up early, had some quick breakfast or grabbed something to go, rushed out the door, and are now sitting at work, decompressing a bit before the day really begins. Perhaps you’re sifting through emails; maybe you’re checking your Facebook; looking at photos; texting with your husband or wife. You know, “relaxing.”
I use the air quotes here because as satisfying as it might feel to organize your inbox or even take a moment to read through Beyond Chron, it isn’t really relaxing. Sure, your body might seem at peace, but your mind is still active.
How to still an active mind? Meditate.
And if you’re one of the millions of people who would like to have a meditation practice, but don’t know where to begin; or perhaps you have a meditation practice already, but need a refresher or could use some guidance, well, this post is for you.
you can join in on the absolutely free Healing Rhythms meditation series
. Led by doctors Deepak Chopra, Andrew Weil, and Dean Ornish, this 15-day guided mediation series will take you “deep inside the inner workings of your mind, heart, and spirit, and give you the keys to a happier more balanced life.”
Sounds good, doesn’t it?
So don’t just “relax” each morning before you start your day. Take the time to really reeellaaaaaxxxx. Still your mind, be present, meditate.

The flowering of love is meditation.
