My, My, My! The scrappy San Francisco Giants continues to amaze us! Never In my wildest dreams thought the team would win three games in Cincinnati after losing two at AT&T Park, NLDS best of five against Dusty Baker and the Cincinnati Reds!

The Giants, 2010 World Series Champions, now in the NLCS match battling 2011 World Series Champions St. Louis Cardinals! Two champions head to head! Hopefully the Giants have a chance to take the best of 7!

Sunday’s opener at AT&T, hearts fell when the Cardinals won, worried the Giants would lose Monday night! Not to be! Loud cries of joy, hugs, feel good cheers rang out across the park and beyond, when winning 7-1. Series tied 1-1.


The competition resumes in St. Louis this afternoon at Busch Stadium for three games. Our beloved Giants hope to shake it up, bring the action back home for the final victory before loyal fans - onward to World Series play! How SWEET the thought!

Another WINNER - suspended San Francisco Sheriff ROSS MIRKARIMI, reinstated after months fighting to get his job back! Never quite understood why San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee acted in haste BEFORE seeking more information, charged Sheriff-elect Mirkarimi with official misconduct when he had yet to be officially sworn into office until January 8.

Drama started, not only for Mirkarimi, but voters in San Francisco District 5, who elected the former District Supervisor Sheriff. The ill-fated day, December 31, 2011, when Mirkarimi and his wife Eliana Lopez got into an augment in their car in front of their home - the grab -bruised black and blue upper right arm - you know the story!

A flurry of accusations, that led to Mayor Ed Lee suspending Mirkarimi WITHOUT PAY! He didn’t help his case when he pleaded guilty in March to a misdemeanor related to the New Year’s Eve incident when he grabbed his wife’s arm.

After agonizing months of hearings by the San Francisco Ethics Commission on charges of misconduct pending against Mirkarimi, sent their recommendations to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. Tuesday, October 8, by a vote of 7-4, Supervisors reinstated the embattled Sheriff, back on the job the next morning!

Supporters of Ross carried signs “Stand By Ross” packed the chambers for months, overflowed hearing auxiliary room, came out in droves to speak on his behalf - angry! Victorious CHEERS when hearing the Supervisors vote!

Many are not happy over the decision - most of all DOMESTIC VIOLENCE groups who wanted ROSS OUSTED! MAYOR LEE, angry that four of the Supervisors betrayed him - especially Supervisor Christina Olague, whom he appointed to Ross’ seat, now seeking election on her own in November! Interesting, as I was surprised she voted for reinstatement, BUT, was her action to enhance her chances with District 5 constituents to win the seat???

A MAN AT THE CROSSROADS, Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi STILL has a long, tough road ahead of him in his job as Sheriff - for Domestic Violence women groups are not going to let him off the hook, will dog him - NO JUSTICE ! NO PEACE!
