I love Beyond Chron, but this glowing stuff about Obama is unreal... You're not getting the full critical spectrum of media about him. The complete picture shows that he is nothing but another neo-liberal corporate schill. Just to mention two points: He is now the co-sponsor of a Senate bill to subsidize the conversion of coal into liquid fuel. And - he voted in favor of confirming Condoleeza Rice as Secretary of State in 2005. And there's a lot more, especially on his hawkish war policies. Hi Paul,

I just want to made a correction regarding your item on Beyond Chron's Jan, 26, 2007 issue. TPTA never elected officers from day one. We have leaders to do our job but never a Chair or President as you mentioned that Ken Werner is TPTA President.

"If the Planning Commission’s actions say anything, it is unfair to give two Supervisors the power to scuttle a historic housing project in a district that they don’t even represent. “We just want to move on with our lives,” said Ken Werner, president of the Trinity Plaza Tenants Association. “It’s time that the project was approved and finalized.”

TPTA consist of Trinity Plaza tenants and other community agencies that helps us with the struggle. To name a few, TH Clinic, SOMCAN, Asian Law Caucus, Senior Action Network, CDCC, VEC, Canon Kip, etc... These agencies have people that belongs to the community and they do not actually represent their agencies, per se.
