Concerts at the Cadillac: Jeffrey Orchard, Professional Jazz Pianist

by Paul Hogarth on September 27, 2007

Our September 28th performance at the Cadillac Hotel will feature jazz pianist Jeffrey Orchard — an incredible performer steeped in the tradition of 1940’s New York jazz clubs. Jeff will play a fun and interactive show that you won’t want to miss.

A native New Yorker, Jeff began his career as the sideman for legendary trumpeter “Little Jazz” Roy Elridge. His father, Frank Orchard, played valve trombone with Louis Armstrong, Charlier Parker, Lester Young and many others. Now having moved to San Francisco, Jeff regularly performs at local venues like Martuni’s, the DNA Lounge and Cafe International. “There’s a jazz revival here in The City,” says Jeff, “and I’m part of it.”

The Cadillac Hotel is located at 380 Eddy Street (@ Leavenworth.) Everyone is welcome to attend Friday’s concert at 12:00 Noon.
