Concerts at the Cadillac: Schumann’s Humanns

by Paul Hogarth on January 29, 2010

Imagine the classical music of German composer Robert Schumann, re-interpreted with a jazz attitude to make it contemporary. Join us today at 12:30 p.m. at the Cadillac Hotel – as we welcome the jazz quartet Schumann’s Humanns, founded in 2008 to meld the romantic music of Schumann — with an improvised flavor that preserves the original feeling of each piece. With Michael Coleman on the piano, Gabe Davis on bass (who has performed at the Cadillac before), Kasey Knudsen on the saxophone and Hamir Atwal on the drums, this will be a very special Cadillac concert you won’t want to miss! “Concerts at the Cadillac” is a monthly series of free Friday noontime concerts – at 380 Eddy Street (@ Leavenworth), featuring the Patricia Walkup Memorial Piano. Everyone is welcome to attend.
