DA Arts Paintings Selected for Bloomingdale’s Opening

by Randy Shaw on September 27, 2006

Patricia Araujo, whose series of paintings on The Old Emporium building is showing this month at DA Arts, 135 6th Street, has had her work selected to be showcased for the grand opening at the store’s reopening today. The paintings will be presented at the top floor above the dome, along with other archives and photographs of the Old Emporium, by the SF Historical Society Museum. This is the second boost in publicity for artists showing at the 6th Street Gallery, which is run by the Tenderloin Housing Clinic and opened in May. In July, artist Todd Berman’s paintings appeared on the cover of the San Francisco Chronicle’s 96 Hours section. Artists interested in appearing in the gallery should submit sample of their work to rshaw@beyondchron.org
