Subject: Time for Pope Francis to Deal Decisively With the Pedophile Priest Crisis

I’m an agnostic and have no particular interest in Catholic Priests or the hierarchal structure of the Catholic Church.

Why do you think there is no movement for a statute of limitations for pedophiles or other sexual predators, like other crimes?  Maybe 10 years.  Everyone needs to move on with their lives eventually, both predators and victims.  Keeping the neurosis alive for both predators and victims seems like such a waste of time over that distance of time.  Give the victims, maybe a year of therapy tops.  If they need more time, they have another problem of not being able to get into real time right now.
