The Bulldog Baths at 130 Turk reopening? Is that a fact that you slyly slipped in or do you not know what you’re talking about? This is the property once owned by Ric Stokes, who spent $200,000 on its renovation as a bathhouse, only to see its permit jerked in 1998 by Frank Jordan when he was mayor. Stokes sued and lost on the basis of a technical error in the property’s permit history. (Ha, ha, ha!) The property was purchased maybe a half-dozen years ago for a condo conversion that the economic collapse seems to have prevented. So what\’s the story now? Please clarify. BTW, you might want to have a look at the SFDPH’s Clarification on the Permitting Process for New Bathhouses, dating from summer/fall 2013.
